Chandana Bose
Sr. Project Manager

Chandana Bose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Calcutta and a Master’s in Social Work from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. She completed dietetic internships at ILS Hospital and Columbia Asia Hospital in Kolkata and is also a certified Diabetes Educator. Chandana has worked with several organisations devoted to holistic health for children and adults, gaining experience in nutrition counselling, community outreach, and programme evaluation. As part of her postgraduate studies, she joined the German Exchange Programme at Katho University, broadening her cross-cultural perspective on social welfare. During the pandemic, she volunteered with the ‘Beat Covid’ campaign, providing psychosocial support to patients and their families. Driven by a lifelong commitment to children—a passion strengthened while researching child trafficking—she now channels her skills into safeguarding and nurturing young lives. Chandana relishes devising humane, evidence-based interventions that create safer, brighter futures for the next generation.


Famia
Sr. Project Manager

Famia is an educator, public speaker, and social worker who bridges multiple spheres of practice. She earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Lucknow, following a Bachelor’s from Isabella Thoburn College, where she was among the institution’s most decorated students and received several merit awards. As a Youth Facilitator, she demonstrated outstanding leadership, devising and delivering the acclaimed online series ‘My Life Mere Faisle’. Passionate about women’s and children’s rights, she has organised and contributed to numerous webinars addressing women’s empowerment, domestic violence, sexual abuse, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and child marriage. Her commitment extends beyond advocacy: Famia has worked closely with NGOs and philanthropic bodies to implement government policies on gender justice and the Right to Education, translating legal frameworks into tangible community initiatives. Combining rigorous socio-legal insight with engaging communication, she empowers stakeholders to recognise their rights and build equitable, inclusive futures.


Parnika Rastogi
Project Manager

Parnika Rastogi is a budding social worker dedicated to fostering individual and collective well-being. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Economics, as well as a Master’s in Social Work (Clinical and Community Practice) from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. Her field experience spans organisations such as The Fourth Wave Foundation, SCARF, Muskurahat Foundation, the Spastics Society of Karnataka, and Justice and Hope. Volunteering with the NGO ‘How to Tell Your Child’ enabled her to work at the grassroots level, raising awareness of child sexual abuse and the POCSO Act 2012. These placements have sharpened her skills in community engagement, capacity-building, and trauma-informed counselling. Parnika is convinced that society can prosper only when children fully understand both their rights and their responsibilities; she, therefore, strives to empower young people as agents of change, ensuring safer environments and stronger futures for the communities she serves.


Arunima Singh
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Arunima is a professional social worker, facilitator, and social change advocate, bringing a wealth of experience to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s from the University of Lucknow. She has facilitated numerous training sessions and social action projects focusing on early child marriage, decision-making, and gender roles. She has led discussions on nutrition, mental well-being, and SRHR with adolescent girls and conducted digital safety training for over 3,000 senior citizens. Her advocacy work includes gender equality, positive masculinity, and ending violence against children. She has also reviewed national health programmes and contributed to community health initiatives. With a deep commitment to empowering marginalised communities, she has designed curricula, mobilised youth, and organised health camps, always striving to create safe and informed environments. Her dedication to social justice and education is evident in her active participation in campaigns and partnerships with various organisations.


Amisha Sachdeva
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Amisha Sachdeva is a public-health professional devoted to turning evidence into action. A graduate of Dr B. R. Ambedkar University, Delhi, she specialised in Human Development and Gender, Communication Extension, and Social Entrepreneurship, and now concentrates on project coordination and impact measurement. Her analytical toolkit spans SPSS, ATLAS.ti, and the Microsoft Office suite, underpinned by strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills. As Deputy Event Manager (Public Policy Advocacy) at The Policy Times Chamber of Commerce, and later with DevInsights, Amisha oversaw stakeholder engagement and programme logistics for nationwide health campaigns. Internships at the Public Health Resource Network and the Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India honed her expertise in mental health literacy, hypertension, diabetes, childhood malnutrition, and reproductive health initiatives. A 2023 UGC-NET qualifier in Home Science, she also volunteers with Child Rights and You, Pledge a Smile, and the National Service Scheme, reaffirming her commitment to community-centred, equitable healthcare.


Nairita Goswami
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Nairita holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Visva-Bharati University, Shantiniketan. She has completed internships at various NGOs, gaining extensive experience in community engagement and advocacy. At Aaina, Odisha, she organised programmes on child and adolescent reproductive rights in rural areas. At the Civilian Welfare Foundation, Kolkata, she was involved in fundraising, teaching, and performing HPV prevention skits. Additionally, she led workshops for parents of children with disabilities at the Graham Bell Centre for the Deaf. These experiences have fuelled her commitment to advocating for marginalised communities and driving positive social change.


Pavithra B
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Pavithra holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, specialising in Medical and Psychiatry, from Madras School of Social Work, Chennai. She is skilled in implementing social skills development programmes for individuals with psychiatric conditions, as well as life skills curricula for schoolchildren. She has extensive experience in conducting awareness programmes for children, cognitive retraining sessions, and providing psychosocial interventions. She excels in supporting individuals through therapeutic and recreational sessions to enhance well-being and resilience. She is passionate about applying her skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to the field of social work.


Shivani Rai
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Shivani is a dedicated social worker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Lucknow. Her diverse experience includes an internship at the National Association for the Blind in Lucknow, providing educational support to blind children. At Pravah, she engaged in community service through the Smile Internship and led a Social Action Project under the Changelooms Fellowship, empowering over 300 young girls and women in sexual health and rights, demonstrating her leadership and project management capabilities. Her creative talents were showcased in the street theatre society, excelling in scriptwriting and winning national and state-level competitions. Beyond her professional and extracurricular achievements, her passions include reading and travelling, and she continually seeks new experiences to enhance her impact in social work.


Shreya Kiran
Sr. Advocacy Ambassador

Shreya holds a Bachelor’s in English and completed her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Delhi. She is passionate about advocating for gender equality. She did her internship at Pratham Education Foundation, designing workbooks for vulnerable children, conducting assessments and workshops, and editing manuals. As a project intern at Samaj Pragati Sahayog, she worked with SHGs, conducted surveys, and provided valuable inputs. At the Special Police Unit for Women & Child, she gained experience in counselling and analysing matrimonial cases. Her internship at News 24 honed her content creation and interviewing skills. During her graduation, she demonstrated leadership as a student representative of the women’s cell, organising and managing workshops. During her Master’s, she was an editorial board member, placement cell member, and class representative. She has received several academic awards, the most recent one for the highest marks in Social Welfare Administration. Her interests include reading, writing, editing, and research. Her dedication and management skills ensure the timely completion of tasks.


Pallavi Joshi
Advocacy Ambassador

Pallavi Joshi is an emerging social work professional with a Master’s in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia. She also holds a Master’s in Sociology from IGNOU and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Botany from Hansraj College, University of Delhi. Pallavi’s journey has been shaped by a strong academic foundation and she has qualified the UGC NET JRF in Sociology and secured an impressive AIR 26 in GATE 2022. What sets Pallavi apart is her ability to connect classroom learning with on-ground realities. Over the years, she has worked across public health, education, gender empowerment, and community development. From leading awareness campaigns in villages to facilitating sessions in schools and working alongside government departments, she has gained worked with organizations like KPMG, the Ministry of Women and Child Development, and the Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation. Pallavi enjoys being in the field, listening to stories, and helping turn challenges into opportunities. Her journey also includes roles as a volunteer and program coordinator, where she built skills in leadership, communication, and empathy. She’s deeply committed to creating more just and inclusive communities.


Divija Adappa
Advocacy Ambassador

Divija Adappa is an aspiring social worker committed to fostering well-being, particularly for children and families. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Digital Marketing and a Master’s in Social Work from Nirmala Niketan. Her diverse internship experiences include St. Jude India ChildCare Centres, Family Service Centre – India, MESCO Trust, and Teach For India, where she gained hands-on experience in child development, community engagement, case management, and educational support for underprivileged students. Additionally, her background in digital marketing and content writing honed her communication and strategic outreach skills. Divija A is passionate about empowering young people and families, striving to be a catalyst for positive change by recognising needs and advocating for vital improvements within communities, all while continuously developing her skills in cultural competence, empathy, and capacity building.


Silvi Mary Sunil
Advocacy Ambassador

Silvi Mary Sunil is a devoted social worker passionate about uplifting lives and strengthening communities through empathetic and inclusive approaches. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, complemented by a minor in Psychology, from the University of Delhi, and pursued a Master’s in Social Work (Clinical and Community Practice) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. Her robust fieldwork with esteemed organizations, including The Bethany Society (Shillong), Christian Medical College (Ludhiana), Jagori Rural Charitable Trust (Dharamshala), Gram Vikas (Odisha), Make A Difference (Chandigarh) and Global Concerns India (Bangalore), has sharpened her expertise in cross-cultural collaboration, community mobilization, and empowerment initiatives. Driven by a deep conviction that children shape tomorrow’s world, Silvi dedicates herself to their well-being. Madhumitaa
Resource Person

Madhumitaa is from the city of Chennai and has explored various domains of social work. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Women’s Christian College, Chennai, and later completed a Master’s in Social Work from Madras School of Social Work. While she believes in empowerment and independence for everyone, she started working part-time in the second year of her bachelor’s to support her educational needs. During her Master’s program, she was associated with various organisations through internships, such as Project Puthri, MASARD, and SIRD. Apart from these organisations, she was also associated with the Greater Chennai Corporation during the pandemic as an outreach coordinator, creating awareness. She is also a street play and puppet show artist and has been part of the college team for various events. As her interest and inquisitiveness about human behaviour grow, she has completed a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology. When she steps into the workforce, she brings great exposure and a zest to learn.
