Neha has earned her bachelor’s in English literature (honours) from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, a postgraduate diploma in journalism from Times Of India, and an LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. Currently practising before the Honourable Supreme Court and the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Her core areas include, but are not limited to, constitutional law, women’s and children’s rights, education, consumer rights, negotiable instruments, and criminal matters. With a keen interest in women and child rights issues, being a journalist with The Times of India and contributing to law journals, she has written numerous articles highlighting socio-legal issues like women empowerment, against honour killing, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and dowry prohibition.

Ravi Kumar Nigam
Panel Advocate
Ravi is a legal professional dedicated to protecting India’s most vulnerable citizens, especially children. He earned a B.Com (2008) from the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi, specialising in Business and Company Law, and an LL.B (2013) from the Campus Law Centre. While practising in Delhi’s courts, he volunteered with NGOs across the NCR, deepening his commitment to child rights. An LL.M. from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, subsequently refined his expertise in welfare and justice for marginalised groups. Ravi’s early practice combined courtroom advocacy with consultancy for HAQ: Centre for Child Rights, where he provided legal guidance on cases of abuse and exploitation. Today, as the lead counsel for Project CACA in Delhi, he directs a network of pro-bono lawyers, psychologists, and partner organisations that offer litigation and psycho-social support to children from economically weaker sections who have experienced sexual harm. His integrated, victim-centred approach ensures that each child pursues justice in an environment tailored to their needs.

Vidushi Jain
Research Fellow
Vidushi Jain, is a (UGC NET qualified for AP) PhD Scholar, currently pursuing her doctorate in Criminology from the School of Behavioural Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University, under Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi. She is also working as the Research Assistant to the HOD of the same institute. She has done her bachelors in Media and Communication from Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication, in Pune, Maharashtra. She pursued her post-graduation from National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, a central government institute under the Ministry of Home Affairs, in New Delhi. Previously she has worked with UNICEF on a child education project, interned at NCPCR, in their POCSO department, dealing with the first-hand complaints of children who have been sexually harassed, assaulted or forced into child marriage. Post this, she worked with a child rights based NGO, Social Axiom Foundation, in Project CACA for almost 3 years, advocating the need for child sexual abuse prevention. She has previously interned in NGOs such as Saath and Gunjan, as well as corporates including MSL Agency and Decathlon. Her ability to engage with beneficiaries from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds aligns well with her passion for working with projects centered around the needs of underprivileged and marginalised communities, crafting innovative, people-centred solutions that drive sustainable change.

Vinita Kumari

Vinita Kumari is an advocate devoted to safeguarding child rights. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, and a Master’s in Criminology—with a specialisation in Forensic Psychology—from the National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi Campus. Internships with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR), and Project CACA refined her expertise in legal drafting, policy analysis, and advocacy against child abuse. Vinita has presented research papers at the All India Criminology Conference and the World Society of Victimology Symposium, underscoring her commitment to systemic reform. Drawing on her interdisciplinary training, she designs evidence-informed, rights-based strategies that integrate legal safeguards with psychological support. Vinita now aims to strengthen protective mechanisms, ensure every child’s voice is heard within the justice system, and foster environments where young people can thrive free from exploitation.

Tanya Katyal
Legal Officer
Tanya Katyal is a legal professional committed to advancing child rights, gender justice, and legal awareness through education and advocacy. She holds an LL.M. in Corporate & Financial Laws from O.P. Jindal Global University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy & Governance from Amity University. Her work with institutions such as the National Human Rights Commission and Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights has strengthened her expertise in policy implementation, legal research, and rights-based advocacy under legislations like POCSO Act, JJ Act and POSH Act. As a Legal Studies educator and member of a Sexual Harassment Committee, Tanya integrates legal pedagogy with compliance and sensitisation efforts. She aims to promote informed, inclusive, and accountable institutional frameworks that uphold dignity and justice.

Janhavi Singh

Janhavi Singh is a law graduate whose early career has been forged in Fast-Track Special Courts, including exclusive POCSO benches in Ghaziabad, where she has represented survivors and defendants in time-sensitive, high-stakes proceedings. She later expanded her litigation practice across Delhi’s courts, honing her expertise in criminal, civil, and procedural matters, and developing an agile command of courtroom strategy, drafting, and client advocacy. Beyond the Bar, Janhavi is an avid motorbike rider and inveterate traveller—pursuits that mirror her appetite for challenge and discovery. Known for her tenacity and meticulous preparation, she approaches every brief with the conviction that effective legal action can dismantle systemic vulnerabilities and promote safer, fairer communities. Whether navigating complex statutes or unfamiliar roads, Janhavi combines confidence with diligence, always striving to exceed expectations and advance justice wherever it is most urgently needed.

Aastha Dhall

Aastha Dhall is a highly skilled forensic science professional with a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from LNJN NICFS, National Forensic Science University, Delhi Campus, and a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science from Lovely Professional University, Punjab. Her dedication to the field is underscored by her completion of several advanced certifications, including Cyber Forensics, Cyber Security, Graphology, and Fraud Risk Analysis. She has garnered practical experience through internships with esteemed organisations such as BFI, SFSL, and AIIMS, New Delhi. Her academic contributions include co-authoring a book chapter and presenting research at an international conference. She has also achieved UGC-NET qualification, reflecting her deep expertise and commitment to forensic science. Passionate about child safety and rights, she has actively worked with a Batala-based NGO to promote cyber safety and social media awareness among students, aiming to bolster their skills and knowledge in these critical areas.

Parul Shrivastava

Parul Shrivastava is deeply committed to child rights, preventive education, and community outreach, given her background in Forensic Science, Criminology, Social Work, and Crime Science. She has gained extensive knowledge about the importance of early intervention and awareness in creating safe and inclusive environments for children. She is in perfect alignment with Project CACA’s primary objective of empowering students, educators, and parents with safety education that is curriculum-based and structured. In this role, she bridges conversations between schools and communities, advocates for evidence-based child protection measures, and builds a culture of empathy, responsibility, and alertness. As such, she sees herself as a proactive contributor to Project CACA.

Bhavna K Ramchandani
Advocacy Ambassador
Bhavna K Ramchandani is a Criminology postgraduate specializing in Forensic Psychology from National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She has worked as a Forensic Psychology Intern at the State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jaipur in the Polygraph Division, where she was involved in active criminal investigations under expert supervision. Her work includes pre-test psychological profiling, structured interviews, behavioral observation, polygraph chart analysis, and forensic report documentation. Bhavna has also gained practical experience in psychological assessment and counseling through internships at Disha Counseling Center and Fortis Healthcare, where she worked on psychological testing, aptitude assessment, counseling observation, and mental health research. She possesses a strong academic and practical foundation in criminal behavior analysis, forensic investigation methodologies, psychological assessment, and research-based approaches to behavioral sciences. A published author and active researcher, she has contributed articles and research papers on psychology, healthcare, social behavior, and mental health. Alongside her academic pursuits, she has held multiple leadership positions in student bodies, psychology associations, and the National Service Scheme (NSS), actively contributing towards awareness initiatives, social service, and student engagement programs. Bhavna is deeply passionate about child protection, mental health awareness, behavioral analysis, forensic psychology, and advocacy-driven social impact. With a strong interest in understanding criminal behavior and the psychological dimensions of investigations, she aspires to contribute towards creating safer and more informed communities through research, awareness, and preventive interventions. Bhavna continues to explore the intersection of psychology, criminology, and social welfare with the aim of contributing meaningfully to society. Srishti Singh
Advocacy Ambassador
Srishti is a dedicated criminal justice social worker who has completed her Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Criminology and Justice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. She had pursued her graduation in Sociology from Miranda House, University of Delhi and had engaged in a diverse field of sociological research during the course. Although her primary interest lies towards academia, she has had an array of experiences in fieldwork including criminal justice institutions such as Kalyan District Prison and in medical organisations such as Indian Cancer Society which operates in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. These experiences have provided her a profound insight into the ground realities of prison and medical social work while ensuring meaningful engagement with various legal bodies such as Child Welfare Committees and Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB). Apart from these she has also indulged in rural social work with an emphasis on forest rights advocacy through her work in Coorg Organisation for Rural Development (CORD) in Kushalnagar, Karnataka. She currently serves as an Advocacy Ambassador at Project CACA and indulges in grassroots interventions to increase awareness regarding child abuse.

Ranya Kaurr
Advocacy Ambassador
Ranya Kaurr is an aspiring researcher with a master’s degree in criminology, specialising in Forensic Psychology from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi Campus, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology (Hons) from O.P. Jindal Global University. Her research interests focus on women and children’s issues, particularly juvenile justice, victimisation, mental health, child protection, and gender-based concerns. She has gained practical experience through internships at the Child Welfare Committee, Society for
Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM de-addiction centre for CNCP), Crime Scene Management Division–Forensic Science Laboratory Delhi, and Max Healthcare. Ranya has contributed to academic research, including a publication in PLOS ONE, and has received recognition through awards such as the Gold Medal for Best Scientific Presentation at the Indian Society of Criminology Conference, the Best Oral Presentation Award at the JSPC Student Research Conference and Best Leader award at O.P. Jindal Global University.

Niti Desai

Niti Desai is a Forensic Psychologist and accomplished field leader. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Mumbai, a Postgraduate Diploma in Fingerprint Science from NFSU, Gandhinagar, and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Rashtriya Raksha University.
Her professional career is distinguished by significant achievements in forensic and clinical settings, including assisting on classified cases under Dr. S.L. Vaya, the pioneer of the field of forensic psychology in India, as well as at the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gandhinagar. She has executed risk assessments on inmates at Tihar Jail and completed specialized technical training in EEG data acquisition and BEOS profiling at NIMHANS. Under Project Swashakti by RRU, she successfully conducted psychological evaluations on army personnel and facilitated mental health awareness initiatives at the Army Cantonment in Ahmedabad. Beyond her clinical and forensic accomplishments, she has directed more than 40 wilderness expeditions across Maharashtra as a freelance trek leader, demonstrating a proven record of field management. Serving as an Advocacy Ambassador for Project CACA, she dedicates her expertise to child safety and the prevention of abuse. She accomplishes this by leading community-focused, impactful awareness campaigns and protective interventions.

Bhavya Bhatt

Bhavya Bhatt is an emerging criminologist, recently completed Master’s in Criminology and Crime Science from Rashtriya Raksha University Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Mumbai, which strengthened her understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and social dynamics. During her academic journey, she gained practical exposure through internships with the Ahmedabad Crime Branch and the District & Sessions Court Vadodara, where she worked closely on matters concerning the Zonal Observation Home for Boys and children in need of care and protection. She has also been associated with CHC and PHC Dahegam, enabling her to develop a deeper understanding of rehabilitation, child welfare, and grassroots social intervention mechanisms. As an amateur criminologist, she is deeply committed to child safety, protection, and the prevention and reduction of child abuse through awareness, advocacy, education, and capacity-building initiatives. Her academic interests and field experiences reflect a strong inclination towards creating socially impactful interventions focused on vulnerable populations and child rights protection. She currently serves as an Advocacy Ambassador (CACA), contributing towards sensitisation, awareness campaigns, and preventive efforts.

Shivani Patra

Shivani Patra is a postgraduate in Criminology with specialization in Forensic Psychology from the School of Behavioural Forensics at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) under the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi and holds a Bachelor’s degree (Hons.) in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi. Her academic interests include child rights, juvenile justice, victim rehabilitation, child abuse prevention and offender psychology. During the course of her academic training, she has developed an interest in understanding the psychological and social dimensions associated with crime, vulnerability and rehabilitation. She has interned at a de-addiction centre working with Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP), where she gained exposure to psychosocial rehabilitation and child-centred intervention approaches. She has also interned at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Rohini in the Crime Scene Management Division, where she was exposed to investigative procedures, crime scene documentation and case-related processes, including matters involving children and vulnerable populations. Her areas of interest further include preventive and rehabilitative approaches within criminology and forensic psychology, with a focus on child protection, mental well-being and community-oriented interventions.

Dr Surbhi – Advocate

Dr Surbhi has an extensive experience in the field of education. She did her PhD from Delhi University. After completing her LLM from the Law School, she authored a book on legal language, legal vocabulary & legal drafting published by an international & renowned publisher, Lexis Nexis. Besides, to her credit, she has other publications in the form of three literary books and several legal articles in reputed magazines. Currently, she is writing a book on Child Protection laws at the request of the Ministry of Law and Justice. She has worked in a child rights NGOs training department for the last six years. She has twelve years of teaching experience in law schools. She is always excited about the opportunity to be part of a training team that increases awareness of child-related issues. She regularly takes sessions on Child Protection laws in CBI, Police Academy, schools and child protection functionaries.

Priyanka Singh

Priyanka Singh acquired her LLB degree from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and her Master’s in Law (Constitutional Law) from National Law University, Odisha. She is practising at the Hon’ble Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench, and subordinate courts, having also taken up matters before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Her significant practice areas include constitutional law, human rights, arbitration, matrimonial law, criminal law, and civil land dispute cases. As a human rights enthusiast, she has associated with NGOs to create awareness about women and child rights and has taken up pro bono cases related to illegal detention, police atrocities, and domestic abuse. She also conducts sessions in various institutions, schools, and colleges on gender sensitisation, the POSH Act, and labour laws.
